When unexpected events drive Mandie Shaw away from her log cabin home in 1899, she convinces her Cherokee friends to guide the way. After a treacherous journey through the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, they reach the extravagant mansion of Mandie’s Uncle John only to discover that his ship has been lost at sea. The house staff, headed by caretaker Jason Bond (Dean Jones, Disney’s the Love Bug), kindly allows Mandie to remain. When strangers arrive claiming to be the rightful heirs to Uncle John’s fortune, Mandie and her friends Polly and Joe find themselves in a race through hidden passages to locate Uncle John’s will. Driven by the stories her Father used to tell, Mandie scrambles to piece together clues and outwit the imposters before they steal her future, only to discover that the truth resides in her past.
